Mst. Jannatul Ferdous, widely known by her pen name Jannatul Juthi, is a teacher, researcher, and columnist. Alongside her teaching profession, she regularly contributes essays, articles, and analytical columns to various national dailies and online portals. Her academic journey began at Damurhuda Girls’ High School, from where she passed the SSC examination in 2009. She then pursued her HSC at Abdul Wadud Shah College, Chuadanga, completing it in 2011. In the 2012–13 session, she was admitted to the Department of Bengali at the University of Rajshahi. She graduated in 2016 and obtained her Master’s degree in 2017 with distinction, securing second position in the first class.
After completing her studies, she enrolled at the Government Teachers’ Training College, Dhaka, to receive professional training in teaching. Her career began in 2019 as a part-time Assistant Teacher (Bengali) at Silverdale Preparatory Girls’ High School. In January 2021, she joined Northern University Bangladesh, Dhaka, as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Bengali. Since 2022, she has also been serving as an analytical writer for Anannya magazine of the Daily Ittefaq. Upon completing her MPhil, she joined as a permanent faculty member of Northern University’s Department of Bengali in January 2024.
For higher studies, she enrolled in the MPhil program at the Department of Bengali, University of Rajshahi, in the 2022–23 session. Later, the program was transferred to a PhD track, and in December 2024, she was formally upgraded to PhD. At present, she is working as a PhD fellow in the Department of Bengali, University of Rajshahi. Alongside her research work, she is currently serving as a lecturer in Bengali literature under the Department of English at International Standard University, Dhaka.
